At this time, Startup and our other events are NOT intended for your own ventures as the curriculum is specifically tailored to high school students.

Our applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must currently attend high school or a high school equivalent (9th through 12th graders in homeschool, technical schools, etc.)

Must reside in the southeast Michigan area
4. When does the application open?
The application is open all year round and will accept students on a rolling basis. However, to enroll in the Startup program, you must do so before the first workshop. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter so you'll be notified of upcoming important enrollment deadlines.
5. When can I apply for the Startup program?
If you’re accepted into the Detroit Entrepreneurship Network, you won’t need to APPLY for Startup. If we’ve offered you admission, we already know you’ll be a great participant! However, you will need to ENROLL in Startup. Some DEN students do not choose to participate in the Startup program so, to let us know that you’re interested, you must enroll before the first workshop. You will receive an email from us at the address we have on file. Make sure to check your email frequently and contact us if your email address has changed.
6. When does DEN run?
Our network is active all year long with mentorship support, networking, events, etc. Our Startup program runs from mid-Fall to early Spring.
7. Are there any fees to join?
No! DEN is absolutely free. We are subsidized through a host of grants from the University of Michigan and other organizations. As part of our mission, we make sure that no financial barrier limits our students’ access to DEN.
1. When does the Startup program begin?
Our current session began on November 16th. The next available session for DEN students to enroll in will begin Fall 2019. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter so you'll be notified of upcoming important enrollment deadlines.

3. Where do workshops take place?
We host our workshops at various venues in Detroit and Ann Arbor. Our workshops are often held in the Madison Building in Detroit and at the Ross School of Business in Ann Arbor.
4. Wow, that’s far. I’m going to need a ride, can you help?
For sure! We often assist our students with transportation solutions. DEN helps organize carpools among students or find available public transportation options. As part of our mission to ensure sure that no financial barrier limits our students’ access to DEN, we also subsidize transportation costs. Please contact us if you have any transportation concerns.
5. What dates and times are workshops?
Once you are enrolled, you’ll be provided a full Syllabus including all workshop dates and times. If you’re currently a student in DEN and are considering enrollment, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
6. Do I have to have an idea to enroll?
No! We’re ready to enroll all motivated students who are willing to put in the effort. People have cool new ideas all the time, but what separates a successful student is one that works hard to make it happen.
